It was an absolute beautiful clear day today-and yet there was still so much gloom in their eyes.
I could physically see the weight they were carrying. The fear.
Yesterday, here in Guatemala, there were 1090 Covid tests given.
771 were positive.
They tried to set up a little table and hand washing station today in the village. One man took everyone’s temperatures. Their fearless town leader Leonardo is doing his best.
I wanted to hug them all and tell them they will be okay. But I cannot promise them that. Jesus himself tells us that in this world we will have trouble.
But what we can tell them is that He sees them, He cares. They are not forgotten. They matter to Him.
Thank you to all of you who have given. The needs are still here-more than ever. Hunger doesn’t just go away. It has a way is not letting us forget it’s presence from the rumbling in our bellies and the fear that seems to be forever present.
Please join us in praying for this country and for our world.
