Training Center
One important part of our ministry at Village of Hope Guatemala is our Training Center.
Most often the children come to us behind in their education or never having received any education at all.
It is not uncommon for them to not know how to read or even write their name.
While we do offer a quality Christian education on site, we also realize that it can be difficult for the children coming from extreme trauma to be able to “catch up” fully in the time we may have with them. Often these children are now young mothers themselves and have a child to care for as well. In order to help them prepare for their future best we offer a wide variety of job trainings and trades at our Village of Hope Training Center located adjacent to our school. There the girls take business classes learning how to budget, market and manage a business. Next they can choose from a wide range of classes on anything from jewelry making, graphic T-shirts, Baristas, cooking, sewing, beauty school, make up, eyelashes and more!
We are so proud of the skills they have acquired and love watching them discover new ways to provide for their children and themselves.
Prayer for our families
There are many needs that we have. Not just for the ministry but for the country of Guatemala. Every month there are several requests we share that gives you an opportunity to support us by diligently praying for our staff, the children, our leadership and our community.
